Scott Wietecha: Head Coach for Beginner/Intermediate and Advanced Groups
Scott Wietecha is an elementary physical education teacher at Jack Anderson Elementary in Hendersonville, TN. He began running in middle school and ran throughout college. After a several year hiatus and a 40 pound weight gain (he really loves food), he resumed running and within a few years, qualified for the 2016 US Olympic Marathon Trials and set the Tennessee State Running Records in the 15k, 10 mile and half-marathon. He has a half-marathon PR of 63:12 (4:49 pace) and a marathon PR of 2:17:02 (5:12 pace). He has experience working with runners of all levels and lists Arthur Lydiard, Renato Canova and Brad Hudson as his biggest coaching influences.
